Clearway\u2019s 122 MW Elbow Creek wind project to host new data center<\/p>\n
SAN FRANCISCO \u2013 Clearway Energy Group (\u201cClearway\u201d) announced that a new high-performance computing data center is co-located at its Elbow Creek wind farm in Howard County, Texas. The first phase of the data center was energized this year, and the second phase will be completed in 2026.<\/p>\n
The colocated data center is nearly matched in size to the Elbow Creek wind project\u2019s nameplate capacity of 122 MW. The colocation of the data center allows computing workloads to benefit from low-cost energy generated on-site.<\/p>\n
Clearway partnered with Satoshi Energy, which specializes in the development of colocated load at renewable generation.<\/p>\n
